I don't think you need to divulge that info when just dating someone. When you feel it is at a level where you would talk about things like incomes, future living situations, wanting children etc, then it would be more appropriate imo.

There's no perfect time is but it should be disclosed well in advance of any discussions about mixing finances.

 

No one wants to find out about a BK when looking for a mortgage.

 

I don't know how many people would even care, TBH. People can rebuild really well post-BK. The work after BK probably determines the extent to which it affects other aspects of a couple's life. Someone who already has their stuff together and finished rebuilding probably isn't perceived as a liability.
