Re: Wanna know how I saved $700 without even trying?

Yeah, going all-plastic has this drawback. The paltry 1-2% cash rewards arguably don't even cover the risks of using credit as a primary cash flow tool, with the util hit on the credit and all...

I miss debit card rewards Smiley Sad

Anyone using BofA's "Keep the Change?" Sounds like it may be an equivalent of a change jar, if they still do it...

cassembler - I do the "keep the change" thing on my own.   I wish I had never told BA about it.  Smiley Sad

But it does work for me and I have been doing it for years.   Rounding up.   Saving the differences.   Going to Europe in a few months (thanks jingle, jingle).

I used to save coin, but I've been debit card only now for 3 years. I do collect coin, but it's strictly silver eagels, morgan dollars, and small denomination us gold coins.

My dad on the other hands; he has jars all over the place that you would think was part of the decor.  Nope, silver change in all of them.  Lucky ..

The little kids at church are collecting change for the Heifer Project for Valentine's Day.

I had to go pull cash out of an ATM and break a $20 to generate some change. Smiley Tongue

LOL, we never have change leftover..  I'm a bit into couponing, so any spare change we have I hoard and use when shopping with coupons to pay the tax.. I can't pass up toothpaste for 8 cents, but, the clerk gets annoyed when I use debit for it, so that's where my spare change goes. Plus, that way my husband isn't complaining about how often CVS or Walgreens shows up on the bank statement.
