Does it still have raised lettering? If so, it looks like they just made "WORLD" lowercase and raised it a bit, then changed the rest of the MC logo.
If I didn't know what WMC was and hadn't seen the old card, I might be puzzled as to why "world" was on there. I might think Hyatt changes or the integration of Kimpton inspired them to rename their IHG elite tiers.
