When a credit card has colored edges... I actually like that feature.
Just saying
I do too. Helps me pick my Chase Amazon out of the stack really quickly. Smart of them.
I like Discover's funky holographic magnetic stripe. Hypnotizing!!!

I like quality cc design in general!
Design is sometimes lacking... I personally dislike this flat numbering Discover and my CITI DC card has... I like embossing... A LOT!
I also enjoy that feature! It is also nice that Discover has so many different colorful card designs
Gardener76,
I agree. I don't think CC companies spend enough time on design/materials. ALOT of people will apply/use a card for vanity purposes (looks/feel/design etc). It's just good business to make a sexy looking card.
Yes, just look at the Marvel cards.

If you take a look at the cards in signatures, they all seem so similar. The blues, the grays (or platinum for some) but really, the colors on the face of the cards don't seem to be all that unique. Yes, there are exceptions - the clear-ish, the reds, etc., but what would be truly different?
What would really set a card apart?
I think metal cards certainly turn the corner on the otherwise boring cards. And, of course, a contrasting edge.
I'd think there'd be more green cards (ala AmEx Green) to remind us of cash, but perhaps it's like going to casino and having the clear differential so it's easier to spend.
