Re: DRUGS whos cheaper??

IMHO for those who have  a drug plan as part of their healthcare insurance, it doesnt make a difference where you by.

It is sometimes cheaper to fill a gerneric perscription rather than do mailorder since some gernerics are cheaper than the what the mailorder plan charges for them.

Also if you factor how long you have to wait for the perscription to be filled, that could factor where you fill it.

Some pharmaceutical companies offer rebates on brand prescription drugs.  Visit the drug manufacturer's website to check for any rebate offers.

OK, some of those might not be considered entirely legal and above board.

Re: DRUGS whos cheaper??

Also if you go generic make sure it is an A or B minimum.

Thinking back, my doctor wants "A" type generics.

I vote for the guy on the street corner!

I set my mom up to order some of my dads through Canada.  She saved $500/3 months.

For myself I'm a generic kind of girl.  $10 for 3 month supply.  Ask your doctor if this pres. is in a generic form or if he can write one for a generic equivalent.

Re: DRUGS whos cheaper??

And about those insurance companies.  I was on self-administered via injection for 12 months.  I paid $1200 out of pocket for one month then sat down to really read my policy.  Turns out my co-pay was TEN DOLLARS!!!

Once we went around and around they reimbursed me and I continued with the $10 copay.  Thieves!!!!

Re: DRUGS whos cheaper??

Target in my area had $4 generic for one month and (I think) $20 for 3 months which beat Walmart.

Also, when transferring a prescription to Target I got a $10 gift card........so I switched from $10 at Walgreens to $4 at Target +$10
