Wow. Is there a reason why people want/buy/keep vintage credit cards?
That's awesome, I remember my parents having that card back in the 80s (they still have the same account - but definitely not the same card).

I remember when I first got my Discover that looked like that... back then you could call them and tell them you were not happy with the CL and they would double it on the spot... I went from $3001 to $6002 and got platinum... I had a friend that went from $3506 to $7013 or something really weird

If it's just plain black and orange, then no I haven't seen one. I googled "first Discover card" and looked at the image results, and the one with the sun inside the "o" is the old one that I saw.
sounds right
I have a solid black one (no orange) with "silver" DISCOVER (actually a multicolored hologram of the same material that MC/V use for their holograms). Expired in 2003, I got it in 1995, I closed the account - I don't remember why but it wasn't a "bad account" reason. Card had a $10,000 CL.
Recently got a new discover card, higher CL,but they turned down my application 4 times over the last two years before they re-approved me.
Looks like this: https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3646/3406356339_94572edb78_m.jpg (not my card or picture)

Back then that meant you had less than a $5k CL because if you had over $5k you got platinum! (back in the day when Gold and Platinum actually meant something about your credit!)
That's right! I had a black one and a silver one! Yep...definitely burned Discover for a good chunk of change.
