Facebook or MySpace?

Is it me or is MySpace losing its popularity?

I'm loyal to Facebook now over MySpace. Got tired of all the annoying spam messages. What do you guys use?

Re: Facebook or MySpace?

I guess technically I'm on Facebook, but I only log in a couple times a month.  I'm not really into it.  I tried to use a bathroom in their building once.

Re: Facebook or MySpace?

Neither for me, but my kids used MySpace when they were in high school, and they switched to Facebook once they were in college and beyond. So I've always had the impression that Facebook is more for grown-ups.

Although when my 21-year-old leaves it up on my laptop, and I see some of the pictures of her friends and their "activities", I'm not so sure! :smileysurprised:

Facebook for friends.  However, I am super private.  I am unsearchable so if you knew who I was you couldn't find me.  I never had a myspace.

For business networking--LinkedIn, which of course is completely professional and not private.

Re: Facebook or MySpace?

I have to get on FaceBook. I have been procrastinating on this for about a year now. I promised that I would do it, while my DF is in India (and I have all of this spare time), and I haven't done it yet. Just got off the phone with my nephew, who berated me for not doing it yet. :smileysad:

I have spent more time on the forums, so I am blaming you guys. :smileyvery-happy:

I have both (the Facebook account I've only signed into about twice, though - it only exists because friends sent me invites to join, and I did out of momentary curiosity, before never thinking of it again), and like you I'm very much unsearchable. I think my first name on both is real, but my last name is the result of some random keyboard-mashing when I registered (using an email address that nobody would actually search me by, of course). Call me odd, but I don't actually like the idea of anyone and everyone being able to look me up on the internet - no thanks!
I sign into MySpace every day, but that's about it. I don't do anything on there, just click on the tab on my Firefox browser that's perpetually got MySpace open on it, more out of habit than anything. I am an appalling MySpace friend, haven't updated my page in forever, etc etc.
I prefer forums to social networking sites, every time. I find forums much better for finding conversations and discussions I can get interested and involved in!
