What kind of car do you have on your own policy & how old were you when you were first put on your parents ?

It depends a lot on the vehicle you insure and whether you are male or female.  Females tend to have lower rates than males the same age.

22 year old male with an '03 GMC Sierra Denali & an '08 GMC Sierra Denali... When i was on my parents I was insured under their '04 GMC Yukon XL & '07 Chevy Avalance. Would being a young male being insured with trucks cause such a high monthly payment ? Although I do have one accident (deemed wasn't my fault) when I was 17 or 18 on my record & 2 points on my license (February '12) for driving w/my high beams on by accident (got pulled over by a cop who was having a bad day).

Males usually do not get a break until after they turn 25.  My son paid horrible rates until that time then they were almost cut in half.

A not at fault accident should not cause your payments to go up.  Traffic tickets could.  Other things are usage, where you live, single or married.

Re: Geico premium decrease!

You should check USSA. When my daughter was your age the insurance through progressive  was high about 200 or more and when she got her own insurance through usaa it drop to 110 dollars.
