General Question for Macy's store and Macy's Amex card holders

So, as part of my Compliance portion of my job, I will review BBB complaints/resolutions for creditors and was at DSNBs page. 100+ complaints within the first 10 pages of "resolved/assumed resolved" cases were about the issues of making payments and keeping track of a store account in conjunction with a Macy's Amex account at the same time. So my question is, is this difficult or confusing for those of you holding both of these cards? From removing interest charges to late fees to reversing negative marks for the bureaus, these complaints seem to ne the only ones that DSNB will help out customers....
