Re: Halloween Credit Horror Stories

How about just a royal screw up?  A few months ago I deposited a nice sized rebate check, I think it was $100.  I didn't notice that it was one day past the expiration date.  I deposit it and the funds cleared the next day.  Didn't think a thing about it.  I ran a bunch of debits....and guess what happened?  The rebate ck was refused and I was charged about $380 worth of NSF debits.  WAY TO GO!

I do have a little 'funny' though.  I was working p/t at a local retailer.  A guy in his 30's came through my line, handed me his cc.  Declined.  Hmmmm, pulled out another card...Declined.  We went through his entire wallet and all declined.  He suddenly realized that his soon to be ex probably went shopping.

About 20 years ago, my uncle's wife left him.  She was heard saying that she wouldnt leave this marriage with out anything..............

He gets ready to take a loan and gets denied.......

Phone calls start from random credit cards.........

30k in credit card debt had been run up......... took him years to get it straightened out......  He ended up having to pay for most of it, living off sandwichs and eating at my moms and grandmas for several years, living as a hermit........  Poor guy
