The MV family are celebrating Thanksmas this weekend. This is a brand new American holiday, and it occurs when one's only child and her significant other cannot make it to Iowa for Thanksgiving or Christmas due to assorted work commitments and distance, but can make it home for a 5 day weekend before the really bad weather sets in.

So Happy Thanksmas everyone

I suppose travel after the Thanksgiving rush and before the Christmas rush also avoids the massive crowds at the airports!
