I fill up every 2 weeks, so I only spend about $80 a month now. I'm retired, so it's just around town driving for me now.
Wow, I live in SoCal and the cheapest gas I have seen in my area was 2.99. You are very lucky.
South NJ, gas is 2.29, about $40-$50 a month...
Southern Indiana. Gas is $2.39/gal. About $35/month.
@Stralem wrote:$30-ish per week.
I just moved to Evanston, IL, right outside of Chicago. So not that far. I drive more on the weekends.
But holy wow, parking downtown is expensive. I'm spending way more on that than on gas.
Love that town! Lived there during the Sixteen Candles Risky Business years. Is Blind Faith still around?
My gas is 1000 miles per month / 50 miles per gallon = 20 gallons * ~$3 = $60.

teach me your ways... i was thinking budgeting like 50 a week...
It's nothing special. I don't go anywhere except work, the store and the odd trip here and there. Plus the gas mileage on my Altima is insane sooo... yeah.
i fill up the tank about every week and a half for around 40 bucks. My old truck was around 60 bucks every 3 days when gas prices were at nearly $5/gal. Thank god i got rid of that monstrocity
In 2014 we averaged $25.72 per week ($111.44 a month), driving a 1997 Subaru Impreza.
My dad, in his "didn't really think it through grand gesture" sort of way, gave us a 2000 Dodge Durango for Xmas (spent too much for it too, but that's beside the point). It has been handy having a second vehicle, but just our fuel costs in 2015 so far are averaging $45.88 per week (we save all of our Safeway gas rewards to use on the Durango)... and don't get me started on the repairs we've already sunk into the monstrosity.
