I just turned 55 on Saturday. Got my first card at age 28 ... another late bloomer! Back then I had 3...Vic Sec., Crap one & a Firestone store card.
Screwed up all but the Firestone & had to start over in 02. Found this site & never looked back.

I'm 63 and got my first "Bankamericard' at 23 when working for BofA in Pasadena. I partiularly loved using it to put $.25/gallon gas in my raggetty '65 bug.
