My claim was filed 5 months ago. The status of the claim changed to "closed." According to the website, this means they will send me a claim packet. So, finally some progress!
That's great. How long did it take for you to get your funds?
Thanking you for your original post. Found unclaimed money for my daughter in the State of Florida. Submitted the claim, and she received her check in just about two months, to the tune of $273.00. She was amazed, and I told her that I learned of it from a helpful poster on myFICO. She, in turn, mentioned it to a few friends, and one of them also had four different claims waiting for her.
Thanks again, Fleuriste!

That was fast. Our claim packed hasn't arrived in the mail yet.
As the webiste for California Unclaimed funds indicates, it really does take about 6 months to turn around a claim. My husband and I both got checks in the mail yesterday.
I just did this search last night as Credit Karma recently added it as an extra feature - actually displays the results for CA on the website before sending you to the state site. **bleep** thing had my name and address from over 10 years ago regarding a settlement from some class action against an old employer of mine. $500 I had completely forgotten about!
Sounds like it's going to take a while to get here, but they accepted my submission electronically in about 3 minutes. Simple af!
