Re: I quit! Literally. Saving 1.5 gallons of gas a day!

I'm using this thread to keep on track, so sorry if it is an annoyance.

Three months, 90 days, 2,160 hours: no smoking.

Fighting to take off weight that has crept on in the last 5 weeks.  Still, my doctor likes the weight better than the nicotine.  Me, not so much.  Back on half-caffeine, but I've gone back to drinking coffee without any milk (never did sugar).

So, what's the solution for gum addiction?

Expensive dental bridgework after a root canal did it for me!

Boy, I miss popcorn. Smiley Sad

I refuse to date smokers. I'd rather stay single forever than date a smoker. My last "boyfriend" was in 2003. We were in love, I couldn't get over the smoking (and a couple minor things), so after dating for 6 months I realized he wasn't going to quit, so I dumped him.

It sucked, he cried. But it truly is a horribly disgusting habit.

So I've been single (and happy) for 5.5 years because I refuse to lower my standards - to include dating a smoker.
