If you have a car, what situations do you use Uber/Lyft?

I do a lot of volunteer work with the homeless.  Rather than give them cash I have been arranging rides via Uber.  SInce the Uber drivers can rate their fares I have been giving good tips.  Amex has helped a lot of people in need.
