Is this correct about all Amex-issued cards?

Yes, I think so.  None of them are a "matte" finish, such as the Chase cards & some Citi Premier/Preferred cards.

I think you're think about the glossy vs matte finish. I was actually referring to the glitter/shimmer that Lexie and WhiteSol mentioned. My Amex Hilton for example, has that. Not just glossy.

I think so. I *might* have spent the better part of a late night at some hotel in LA staring at my AmEx cards in utter amazement of the shimmer. Could have been the substances I was around at the time (cough cough - whoa).
