Brought home a Range Officer Compact a couple weeks ago.  Love it.

Have you considered sending it to the Springfield custom shop?  I shipped mine to them this week and really looking forward to see how the guns shoots once I get it back.

This is my first 1911, and to be honest there's nothing I'm dying to change.  Love both sights, the trigger, etc.  I'm not using it in speed competition so no need for a magwell.

What are you having done to yours?

I went with the Accurizing Package.  To note, I have never had a 1911 customized but I wanted to do this as a before/after project.  Looking forward to seeing and shooting it when they are finished.

That includes:

- tighten slide to fram

- custom match barrel system

- custom match hammer & sear

- match aluminum trigger

- polish feed ramp

- throat barrel

- tune extractor & ejector

- deburr pistol internally

Wow that package costs more than the gun lol.  I hope you're happy with it.  Not being a competition shooter, the added accuracy would be wasted on me.  The one thing they offer that grabs my attention is getting the front strap checkered.

A pic of one of mine. Use to be a big HK collector as well as a few HK auto sears. Lost interest and sold it all. Now only have a handful of firearms but that is enough for me Smiley Happy
