The Professor always was my favorite character!  Had it not been for Gilligan's uncanny ability to wreck any plan he would have figured out a way off the island very quickly indeed (but of course wrecked the premise of the show).  Now I suppose Gilligan would get voted off the island...

EX always was my highest when we could pull all three

I've always wondered why the Howells brought so much luggage on a 3 hour tour.

Okay, Ginger or Mary Ann.

Best acting, what did you think I meant.

Not to mention the Professor took along an amazing range of books for a three-hour tour, and the inconsistencies in Ginger's wardrobe: sometimes she wears garments made from sailcloth, other times she has various elegant dresses.  Of course even as a child I had difficulty swallowing the show's premise: an uncharted island so close to Florida?

And the Professor could make anything except a boat from stuff like bamboo and coconuts.

And how come the skipper never lost weight after all those years on an uncharted desert isle?

MattH, given your background, you might qualify for an invite to visit the "Gilligan's Island" depicted in the opening scenes of the TV series...but the airfare from CT will cost a bit more than you think.

That island is actually Coconut Island, and it's in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu, Hawaii.  The Hawai'i Institute of Marine Biology is located there, and visitors are by invitation only.

Say "Hi" to Maryann for me...Smiley Happy

Edited, to correctly name the Institute.
