No substantive news yet, still getting various tests and consulting assorted specialists. Since this thing, whatever it is, has apparently been there for some years without growing much the docs apparently want to take their time and evaluate thoroughly before decisions are made.
I did some research and learned of a world-class specialist in Dad's unusual type of case who is about two hours drive time from my parents so they called and got an appointment there for mid-September. Even if this guy ends up agreeing with local docs it will be good to know what a really top doc thinks!
Dad's in excellent general health for a man of 82 (will be 83 in October), but several times over the years has been in situations where doctors seemed puzzled. When they lived in Wisconsin, as soon as they sensed local docs were puzzled they'd drive to Mayo Clinic. Now, as before, Dad has something outside the usual range...
