Re: Mod!!

In my experience it's pretty much universally true that.

Being a mod means:

1. a labor of love (it sure ain't the non existant pay)

2. You catch grief from the occasional unhappy member.

3. You have to bend over backwards to be nice. More so than if you are juist a member.

4. No matter what you do some won't like it.

Ya just gotta appreciate that some are willing to do the job.

I have reestablished credit over the last couple years
so my moniker is, well, rather out of date.

I can't tell you how often I've stared in the mirror and pondered that one.

Anyway, just as a general FYI for forums mods, you are generally happily posting away about the importance of reducing your util or how to time your CC payments or helping someone figure out AAoA or whatever, and a pm hits your inbox, and boom, there you are. Not sure that any of the current moderators ever asked first if they could be moderators.

So perhaps being clueless helps? Smiley Wink

Re: Mod!!

You also get extra points toward mod-dom for posting elaborate replies on the wrong threads. Smiley Tongue  (see my attempts to confuse bichonmom and Open123 on the Ally thread)

Re: Mod!!

If I were a mod, my first course of action would be to remove this thread from this section since it has nothing to do with credit cards. Do I get the job?

Pretty sure you probably get the mod job by not asking how to get the mod job, but PMing hauling over and over how to get the mod job. Smiley Wink
