My stress has lifted (for today anyway)....cluck cluck cluck

I got a bug up my butt about moving to the city and becoming and urbanite (is that a word).  After a long haul, we sold our custom-built home and bought a 1930's tudor in the city.  Can I say L-O-V-E ? ? ?   We were able to pay cash for the new place, so I now have plenty to spare on hobbies.  Now, we have a lovely space behind the garage that would be perfect for chickens.....yes chickens.  Why?  I dunno, I've always liked them.  I also like fresh eggs. 

I've also ditched one automobile since I live around the corner from my job.  How great is that?  Maybe I can pop a hen into the basket on my bike and whirl around the neighborhood.   Can chickens even be trained?

Just a friendly note, fresh eggs from your own hens are going to cook up a little differently than store bought eggs.   The eggs tend to be thicker, more nutritious, and better tasting!
