Hello all. I came across this class action lawsuit agains Navy Federal Credit Union. Im sure not many know about it and thought maybe a few of you could have a chance to possiby get $1500. Long story short there was a class action lawsuit filed against NFCU because apparently they were using some sort of automated system to call peoples phones and text them without there permission. Ill post the link below so you all can check it out. Maybe someone will get lucky :-). You only have until the 18th to file your claim online so Id be quick about it.
Were you personally harrassed or are you just in it for the free money? Class action lawsuits are a joke. It's always a petty reason that gets lawyers rich.
DrZoidBerg,
while you may no like that lawyers make money off class action suits, the reality is that when a major company harms hundreds or thousands of individuals, the class suit is the best way to make sure those harmed are paid at least something.
The average joe cannot take on AT&T over 100 bucks in intentionally illegal charges, but 10,000 joe's banded together can. Your view essentially means that average income and poor people just have to take getting shafted when big companies break the laws.
in fact your stated view amounts to agreeing with forced arbitration which favors the wealthy company by a factor of 1000. The guy in florida cannot fly to Deleware or California to arbitrate a $50 injustice, so they drop the claim and do nothing. the lawbreaker wins and the little guy gets shafted again.
yep the lawyers make money, but the cases also cost money, big money, and they front those costs including the costs to find other victims of the same bad behavior.
