Ok...this is a true story.
I'm riding my Honda Goldwing down I-26 which has 2 lanes each way doing about 60 mph in the right lane. A tractor trailer is in the left lane at about the same speed. From my right I see a deer coming onto the highway in my lane. I brake frantically while my but cheeks tighten. Unfortunately so does the truck beside me which causes the trailer to sort of jacknife into my lane...so I speed up to keep the trailer from killing me. In the mean time the deer gets hit by the truck which propels the deer airbourne, slightly over my head in my lane. So first I almost hit a deer, then almost got hit by a truck, and then almost got hit by a flying deer.
I'm glad you're safe! Sounds like you had an angel on your shoulder today.

That was years ago...just telling it here.

Lol sarge, I hope your insurance agent doesn't read your posts. Do you still ride?
Not much since becoming disabled...it is a three wheeler now!
Wow, sarge, that is crazy! I'll bet that was all a matter of seconds, and you probably experienced it in slo mo. It's weird how that happens. I'm so glad that you had three lives to spare when that happened! I've hit a deer twice. One, this doe actually ran right into the front fender of my grandparents' old Ford pickup I drove back in the day. Two, a deer came from the opposite bank of the road, running on a diagonal trajectory in relation to my Ford Ranger, and when its path intersected with mine it jumped, trying to jump over the hood but smashed into my windshield. I was taught not to go hard on the brakes or swerve too much in those situations, but I did what I could without losing control of my truck, it just wasn't enough. Now, the worst thing I've hit was a turkey vulture, ugh! I won't gross anyone out with the details...
@Justagirl...I agree!
