What's a stamp?

I might be showing my age, but I remember when stamps were $.25 and gas was $.87
I'm with you! I'm 26 but it makes me feel ancient that I remember buying stamps when they were only $.32 and all the times in the 90s when gas went under $1.00!
FOREVER STAMPS!
Yep and a phone call was a dime at a pay phone. (You kids get offa my lawn!)
Once when gas was around 85 cents, a friend and I were cruising around on a scooter. We rounded up pocket change and got a gallon (which was all the scooter held) in dimes and quarters. A man saw me pay for a gallon of gas in a bunch of change and thought we couldn't afford more, so put $5 on our pump as a random act of kindness. We had to leave over 5 gallons of free gas for the next person because we couldn't put it into the scooter. :-)
And to to bring it back around, thank you for the reminder! I will pick up a roll of forever stamps this week.
