Hi, bucket--
You might be having the perma-paragraph problem that I won with the Lithium upgrade. When you start a post, are you in HTML or in Rich Text?
I was in HTML, where I've always happily been, and I couldn't make paragraphs to save my neck. I think it was because I had long ago changed the WYSIWYG setting in the older forums control.
Try posting in Rich Text, and see if it works. If it does, you can either (try to remember to) select Rich Text every time you post, or you can click My Settings, then Preferences, then on the Preference Options screen, click Use Rich Text Editor, about half way down.
You can also go back and edit Chuck in Rich Text and restore the format that you originally posted. HTH

OK, Random, and Obscure... and kinda fitting my mood... Sorry for the buzz kill...
I was flicking through the channels on the TV
On a Sunday in Milwaukee in the rain
Trying to piece together conversations
Trying to find out where to lay the blame
But when it comes right down to it there's no use trying to pretend
For when it gets right down to it there's no one here that's left to blame
Blame it on me, you can blame it on me
We're just sugar mice in the rain
I heard Sinatra calling me down through the floorboards
Where you pay a quarter for a partnership in rhyme
To the jukebox crying in the corner
While the waitress is counting out the time
For when it gets right down to it there's no use trying to pretend
For when it gets right down to it there's no one really left to blame
Blame it on me, you can blame it on me
We're just sugar mice in the rain
'Cause I know what I feel, know what I want I know what I am
Daddy took a raincheck
Cos I know what I want, know what I feel I know what I need
Daddy took a raincheck, your daddy took a raincheck
Ain't no one in here that's left to blame but me
Blame it on me, blame it on me
Well the toughest thing that I ever did was talk to the kids on the phone
When I heard them asking questions I knew that that you were all alone
Can't you understand that the government left me out of work
I just couldn't stand the looks on their faces saying, "What a jerk"
So if you want my address it's number one at the end of the bar
Where I sit with the broken angels clutching at straws and nursing our scars
Blame it on me, blame it on me
Sugar mice in the rain
Your daddy took a raincheck, your daddy took a raincheck

This one is very credit appropriate.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.
Keep your foot hard on the pedal. Son, never mind them brakes.
Let it all hang out 'cause we got a run to make.
The boys are thirsty in Atlanta and there's beer in Texarcana.
And we'll bring it back no matter what it takes.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.
Ol' Smokey's got them ears on and he's hot on your trail.
He aint gonna rest 'til you're in jail.
So you got to dodge 'im and you got to duck 'im,
you got to keep that diesel truckin'.
Just put that hammer down and give it hell.
East bound and down, loaded up and truckin',
we're gonna do what they say can't be done.
We've got a long way to go and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch ol' "Bandit" run.

When Annie Took Me Home
by Tom Paxton
Late at night, somewhat tight,
Guardian angels put to flight
Freddie's doused the neon light
That promised while it shone.
Time to go, time to blow,
They don't push me cause they know
I am still in my long ago
When Annie took me home.
There was I wondering why
Annie'd choose to ask me over.
But she did, sure she did,
She called me her Irish rover.
Sat me there in her chair,
Ran her fingers through my hair.
Talk of heaven, I've been there,
When Annie took me home.
Rafters rung, songs were sung,
Spanish is a loving tongue.
Ribbons on my life were hung,
When Annie took me home.
There was wine, there was time
All the while guitars were playing.
When the day came my way
And she told me I'd be staying.
Love can go, love can grow,
Did she love me? I don't know.
Though she often told me so,
I never really known.
Was I blind? I don't mind.
I think life's been more than kind.
Thanks to life there was the time
When Annie took me home.

Prairie Wedding (Mark Knopfler)
We only knew each other by letter
When I went to meet her off the train
When the smoke had cleared and the dust was still
She was standing there and speaking my name
I guarantee she looked like an angel
I couldn't think of what I should say
But when Adam saw Eve in the garden
I believe he felt the selfsame way
I handed her up on the wagon
And I loaded up her trunk behind
She was sitting up there with the gold in her hair
And I tried to get hold of my mind
Do you think that you could love me Mary
Do you think we got a chance of a life
Do you think that you could love me Mary
Now you are to be my wife
We finally headed out of the station
And we drove up the home trail
And when we came to the farm she laid a hand on my arm
I thought my resolution would fail
And I froze as she stepped in the doorway
Stood there as still as could be
I said I know it ain't much, it needs a woman's touch
Lord she turned around and looked at me
Do you think that you could love me Mary
You think we got a chance of a life
Do you think that you could love me Mary
Now you are to be my wife
We had a prairie wedding
There was a preacher and a neighbour or two
I gave my golden thing a gold wedding ring
And the both of us said I do
And when the sun's going down on the prairie
And the gold in her hair is aflame
I say do you really love me Mary
And I hold her and I whisper her name
Do you think that you could love me Mary
You think we got a chance of a life
Do you think that you could love me Mary
Now you are to be my wife

Dance Me To The End Of Love
from Cohen Live
LYRICS
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Ahhhhh...one of my all time favorites... From 1972
Dust in the Wind (no, not the Kansas one) as sung by Todd Rundgren
You Tube :-) worth a listen....white boy soul & a little Edgar Winter sax to boot.
Tell everyone that I am sorry, truly sorry
For all the wrongs I done
I never meant to hurt nobody
Lord I never want to do no wrong
I have lied, I have begged and I have cheated
And I know my ship won't be coming in
As I lay me down to take my rest
I see that it's just dust in the wind
Take hold my hand, hold it tighter, ever tighter
You must believe that I love you still
But my strength, it grows weaker, ever weaker
And my body has lost its will
Oh my Lord, I have lost once again
And I got no one to help me find my way
But I never wanted to hurt nobody
And I never wanted to do no wrong

Garden Party : Rick Nelson
I went to a garden party to reminisce with my old friends A chance to share old memories and play our songs again When I got to the garden party they all knew my name No one recognized me; I didn't look the same But it's all right now, I learned my lesson well You see, you can't please everyone, so you got to please yourself People came from miles around everyone was there Yoko brought her walrus there was magic in the air And over in the corner much to my surprise Mr. Hughes hid in Dylan's shoes wearing his disguise [chorus] Played them all the old songs, I thought that's why they came No one heard the music, I didn't look the same I said hello to "Mary Lou", she belongs to me When I sang a song about a honky-tonk, it was time to leave [chorus] Someone opened up a closet door and out stepped Johnny B. Goode Playing guitar like a-ringin' a bell and lookin' like he should If you gotta play at garden parties, I wish you a lot of luck But if memories were all I sang, I'd rather drive a truck [chorus]
