It was fun reading all the threads when cards started to get csncelled.

Re: Remember the fun/hysteria last year at this time.....?

Famous forum last words

I went to use my card for the first time and it was declined

My card hasn't arrived yet but my online account  now shows $0 availabe credit

I called 4 times and they keep saying security breach

and the best one of all

They're not even answering the phones now

Oh yes I remember well

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I'm suprised they didn't get slapped with a lawsuit over that, since they blatantly lied about the entire thing.

Re: Remember the fun/hysteria last year at this time.....?

Surprisingly, still have mine. Ron, and a few others too...

Actually made it to a year, and got the CB award as statement credit. Now it's a SD decoration for padding purposes.

I think it came down to the timing, and approvals, prior to their failing the "stress test," imposed by banking regs. Everyone afterwards was "thrown under the bus."

Still a decent 2/1 card though, if you just use it for gas/groceries primarily.

Mine is still alive and well, no closure, no DCL.  CL still sits at $17.5K and have had no issues with using it.  I guess I missed all the brouhaha associated with all the closures and whatnot.  But, in all honesty, even Ray Charles could've seen that coming, it was just a matter of time.
