The Birds!

Saw it on TV when I was in 10th grade or so, and the next day walked with friends from our Army housing in Fort Kam to Hickam AFB. We had to walk under at least a half dozen banyan trees, all of them chock-full of mynah birds, chattering madly away. I've never been so scared in my life.

I'm originally from Hawai'i (born and raised 18 years) and I don't think many people on these boards know what a myna bird is :smileyhappy:  For those of you who don't, it kind of looks like a little crow.

I thought a mynah bird was any young bird from Boston...

Re: Scariest Movie Ever!

when i was younger, my brothers and i decided to watch The Thing , starring kurt russell.

there was one thrilling scene, and it was quiet, and just at the moment that the scene scared us, our refrigerator made a loud noise and stopped working.

i have never watched that entire movie and will never watch that movie again.  its been over 20 years, i just cant do it.

The Ring was pretty psycho

Really old movie that came out in 78.   The Manitou.  It doesn't get good reviews now but back then 2 grown men were afraid to go in the house alone after coming back from the theater.

Van Wilder #1.  I almost had a heart attack laughing so hard and that scared me.

One of the creepiest was Rosemary's Baby. Still pretty good, is she crazy or are all those nice neighbors and concerned husband really up to no good.

Re: Scariest Movie Ever!

...was NOT "The Woman in Black".

I truly have to wonder, do the editors, directors, producers LOOK at these movies before releasing them?

Psycho or Jaws.

Psycho had me locking my bathroom door and peeking out of the curtains every once in a while.

Jaws made me never look at the ocean the same again. To this day, I'm scared of going underwater in even some videogames.
