Could we update the first page? Specifically where it says to save the picture and upload it to photobucket? That was a useless and unnecessary step to begin with and now that photobucket is busted won't work at all. Just copy the URL from the picture you found on google.

Actually I already have.  Smiley Happy

While using an image from the web/Google might work for the moment it's not the best solution - you're at the mercy of the image source, and the image can be altered or deleted at any time, breaking your signature.

Using a free service such as Imgur is really the best way to go.

Totally missed your giant edit on top of the first page and just read the body of the post lol. Your idea of imgur is a good one. I just use the link from the bank. Very small chance of it getting deleted. However both my BoA and Freedom cards in my signature were origionally the old ones and auto updated when the bank updated them.

The problem with using a bank image is that while they might be more stable than 'random' images, the links do change... trust me, I've fixed enough signatures lately to know this to be fact.

Also, people with discontinued or more obscure cards with smaller issuers are more likely to have broken links if they link back directly to the bank... I've seen this recently with old Amex offerings.  The image might still be somewhere on the site, but the old link no longer works and the siggy is broken.

I was finally, FINALLY able to re-add the little credit card pictures to my signature after they went all wonky earlier this year.  Kind of silly, but it's been on my "to-do" list for a while now.  Smiley Happy

Thank you, but what am I doing wrong?  I have several more to add.  Smiley Tongue

Maybe because I was trying to add below the sig.?  Wait, where does all the other crap come from in the code?  That's not in the how-to post, or that is added later?

Ah screw it.

What other stuff in the code?  Not sure what you're doing wrong.  It cold be because you were trying to insert the HTML after the text in your signature though I'm not positive.  Often I find that the error codes come from trying to copy/paste the info into your signature.  You can copy/paste the image url but everything else needs to be manuallyentered. I can only get it to work by typing each line of the code 1 x 1.  I'll insert one image, then save and test the signature and so on and on. That way you can find your mistakes as they occur.  I'll help you in any way that I can if you still run into problems.

That stuff.  https://imgur.com/vgffqYH  is the link from Imgur for my Platinum card.     <img src="" height="50">    is the stuff we copy from page 1 of the guide.   I'm supposed to put the Imgur link in between the  parentheses correct?   <img src="https://imgur.com/vgffqYH" height="50">      So where does all the other stuff come in?  We put the Imgur link between the parentheses and paste?  Doesn't work for me.  The link on page one has no width or anything else in it.  Did you add that?  I tried it again and get nowhere.

All 16 of yours are now showing. I still have not figured it out. What were you doing wrong that perhaps may shed some insight?

Hi @PRose123,

You won't be able to add HTML to your signature until your rank is a little higher (system constraint).  Don't worry, it won't take long.  Smiley Wink

🏃🏽‍♀️I was one of those good students who worked 5X as hard because I refused to raise my hand.  😓🖐 I literally just figured out I was probaly too new 👀 (even though I've been lurking and building for 2 YEARS! LOL!!).  I tried to do this for probably a total of 5 hours. I went ahead and just typed it in. Thank you so much for your response.

it's not based on the number of posts but on your forum rank.  You should be able to add HTML to your signature.  If you're having issues, you're going to have check your HTML coding.  If you send me the code that you are trying to insert, I can take a look at it for you.
