Re: What kind of car do you drive?

I have a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 V6 with 7 passenger seating, heated leather seats, dual game systems in the head rests, bluetooth, upgraded stereo system....absolutely love this vehicle!! I also own a 2002 Cheyvy malibu LS V 6 that is  fully loaded also...but it is for work only. Even approaching 100k mi, it is still a great car also!

MrMS has 2 vehicles: 1997 Toyota Corolla and a "monster truck"- Yukon XL. The Yukon stays parked unless he needs it for towing or hauling tools and wood and stuff around- though, it doesn't get horrible gas mileage for its size- about 18-20 mpg unless we're towing the trailer.
I think my poor old Camry will be put out to pasture in the next year or so, and we'll get a Prius (or Aptera if they're available). Something cool and efficient for a commuter car...
Edited to add: I forgot the other vehicle we own... a 14 foot canoe! Coolest wedding present ever... though it was quite hilarious when we tried to tie it on top of the Corolla.... Smiley Very Happy

MsMs,

I have a '93 Camry also but not as many miles. Have you ever had a problem accelreating where it would stagger?

Yeah, particularly in the last couple years, the acceleration has gone to pot.  At least, for the way I drive- I tend to accelerate gently and not let the RPMs get above 3 or so.  MrMS gets better acceleration out of it, but he's pretty heavy-footed, and the engine makes alarming rrRRRRRRrrrr noises when he does. (He says that's not a bad sound; I just have been in so many clunkers that I'm gunshy about noisy cars.)  It's especially bad when the AC is on- I have to turn off the AC to accelerate onto freeways or risk getting creamed...

OTOH, that's my only real complaint about the car- which isn't bad for an almost 16-year-old vehicle.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?

06 Suzuki XL-7 ( the last year where they kept the - in the name)  bought new.  All the bells and whistles and I added the remote start alarm system as well as the parrot Bluetooth phone module.

07 Chrysler Aspen bought new a few months ago.  Again all the bells and whistles with the exception of NAV.  And I didn't want to pop the extra 2500 for the NAV so I put in my old Mio.  Probably have to upgrade that sometime since it kind of sucks in the car.  Works good on an airplane though.

Re: What kind of car do you drive?

2006 Toyota Solara Basic Model
4 cyl. so I get good MPG.
Only thing I hate is a lag of about 2 seconds when the gas pedal is stepped on.
According to Solara forums, it is normal and can be corrected.
But I will leave it as it is to prevent me from racing off at a complete stop. It'll save me some gas too!

I have a 2000 BMW M Roadster. I bought it in 2005 - came off a 5 year lease with only 7000 miles. It's all paid off - and is soooo much fun that I'm sure I'll drive it until I can't fix it! Smiley Wink
