I purchased windows for my rental property.  $9K split between two credit card swipes. 

Starting FICO 8's (7/2016) EQ 715|| TU 743 || EX 762
Current FICO 8's (9/2017) EQ 755|| TU 768|| EX 775
Goal FICO 8's: 780 across the board

Last Monday, Venture charged $20,350.00, paid it two days after it posted. No issue.

And that, my friends, is how I earned both my 25k Starpoints for spending $x and the 10k bonus for spending an additional $y on the very first transaction on my Starwood card.  Paying taxes is a great way to hit spend bonuses as long as you're not going to be paying interest if the rewards outweigh the fees for doing so.
