Re: What's your day job?

I work in Receivables Management at a utility company. That includes investigating fraud, theft of services, disputes from our CA, threatening to disconnect people's services for non-payment, fixing payment mistakes, and sending credit refunds to customers (basically everything but billing and customer service).

Re: What's your day job?

My day/night job is restaurant manager at a locally owned cafe. Sounds pretty unexciting compared to the jobs I see listed here.

Re: What's your day job?

Jack of most disciplines, master of none: I teach mathematics, business, applications and gifted and talented at grades 5-12 in a very small school district.   Oh, and I'm a fulltime solo parent of a gifted 12½ year old and step parent to 14 and 17 year olds who don't live with me unless I have better snacks than the other mom has at the moment.

Working on a second master's degree in educational administration that will put me in the position to look at the job of Business Manager and turn it down.  I love what I do, love kids, am not quite ready to leave my four classrooms (three are awesome computer labs).

Prior to this, I was a bank AVP and prior to THAT a travel agent.

The only real passion that I've missed professionally is owning a bookstore.  There'd be a non-starbucks cafe attached.
