Re: What type of vehicle(s) do you guys own?

Frugal unit.  '06 Taurus.  Paid cash for it...it looks brand new and only has 60k miles.  Won't be buying a new car until after we close on a house early 2014.  I really like the looks of the Camry Hybrids, so will likely go with one of those...and some old toy car once I have a garage.

Re: What type of vehicle(s) do you guys own?

2000 Volvo S80.  Bought it used 3 years ago for $5000 with 65k miles on it.

It's ran wonderful and best vehicle purchase I've ever made.   It now has about 94k miles.

Only been in the shop once with a leaking power steering fluid line.

My wife drives a 2004 Honda Civic.  She loves it.

Re: What type of vehicle(s) do you guys own?

I drive a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. Big fan of the car, and most likely going to change it in for a 2013 Sonata. Hyundai has really stepped up their game - a lot of the free features would be paid upgrades in other cars. It also got me across the country, so that shows it's ability.

Re: What type of vehicle(s) do you guys own?

2007 Kia Spectra. And the transmission went out at 108k miles. Based on what the mechanics told me and the experiences of a few other Kia owners I know, it seems like it's fairly common for the transmission to go out right after the warranty expires.
Anyway, the transmission was replaced, and it may not be anything really fancy, but I love my little car (ignoring the transmission failure, of course).

You let a $45k+ car sit in your garage while you sit in traffic in a Civic?!? Smiley Surprised

What color is your Civic? My first car was a 2003 Civic EX Coupe. I have my eye on a Acura TL SH-AWD, but I don't want to spend the money.

Re: What type of vehicle(s) do you guys own?

2012 Ford F150 Super Crew FX2 with all the trimmings. GPS, leather, Sony 12 speaker sound, um... Tow package... A truck bed. Yeah, it's a truck. Big ol' work truck. She pulls around my company's trailer full of computer goodies, so if you see a big blue truck with a bigger grey trailer blocking your path on the 101 and 60 freeways, honk and say hi.

I also just (and I mean JUST... A week ago) got a 2013 ford focus electric. Already have 600 miles on the OD.. Started at 10mi... 257.49/month taxes included... 1k down, 12k miles, 36months, fully loaded with the protection package and leather. I still like my girlfriend's leaf better. I have a thing for electric cars. Tesla Model S comes after the house is closed upon.

Just got rid of: 2008 Corvette convertible, 2012 Toyota Corolla

Funny thing about the electric... It has all the bells and whistles, GPS leather heated seats hid lights premium color power seats sync... Basically literally fully loaded, and uses no gas, and my corolla, which was bare bones, had nothing in it, was a gutless wonder and was lucky enough to have a moon roof and alloy wheels. The corolla was 199 a month after tax, the Ford is 257 a month including tax, but 188 after tax after the $2500 credit over 36 months. And I don't pay for the electricity either. I charge at a local nissan dealership.

Chase Sapphire Preferred - $18,000; Chase Freedom - $4,500; Chase Amazon - $3,000; Chase Ink Bold - NPSL; Amex Plum - NPSL; Amex True Earnings - $30,000; eBay Mastercard - $1,500; Capital One Platinum - $500; Logix Platinum Rewards - $15,000
