Jax, thanks for the info on the jersey shore. I was actually looking at wildwood, looks great for the kids. They are 6 and 3 , so I definitely need something family friendly and not TOO far from Massachusetts.

If you live in MA, you might consider the Lake Champlain shore of Vermont.

My children love the Wisconsin Dells, and it's only a couple of hours away. I love Myrtle Beach, SC, though I haven't been there for awhile. Also, I am quite afraid of getting lost down there and running into her for directions.

OMG!  Now there is coffee all over my monitor.

On the bright side, her response repeated the question, an elementary school language arts lesson did stick.

I spent years going to the Dells every summer, I'm having flashbacks of Noah's Ark and loving it.  Thanks for the laughs and the memories!

She does seem to epitomize the meaning of "airhead," I must say.

Well, since about 1986 I think there have been maybe two or three Decembers when I have not gone to Summit County, Colorado, which is where my family traditionally spends the Christmas holidays.

Vacation? What? Does getting my hair cut without having to bring the kids count?
