Yes, Walmart has had them for awhile. Their new Mastercard will have the chip, Sam's Club already does.
Many US merchants are resisting, due to the cost of impementing the new readers, but the Major Banks are pushing them to be quick in doing so, because Europe uses them everywhere.
Dont bother finding emv terminals. I know alot in my area had installed them years ago, but they never activated them. I bet its going to take at least couple of years to see them in use.

Yeah but it is good to know that CVS and Costco are at least installing them now vs doing it in 2015. Though Costco idk why bother .... only some Amex cards have EMV and do debit cards have EMV?
Debit cards will have it eventually. First they have to go through credit cards first.
So don't expect it happen nexty year

Yes. Charles Schwab now issues EMV debit card. You do have to call in and request one.
One thing to keep in mind though, currently Walmart does not accept EMV debit card, it has to be swiped.

I have noticed CVS and Costco has started putting in EMV chip reading capable machines in their stores. I wonder who else is starting to? Walmart already can read them
Most newer terminals are capable of reading EMV, but they're not switched on for it yet.
