Frankly, because people were being childish about it: bringing up the topic in every thread was utterly unwarranted and bringing it up where it's not warranted, is now considered advocating.
The warning was made twice and not heeded by both sides, enough is enough. FT has a massive forum dedicated to all things MS, go discuss it there if wished, not here.

Yep. It was getting REALLY annoying having it brought up in every other thread where questions were brought up on how best to structure personal spending to meet a spend bonus.

Yep. It was getting REALLY annoying having it brought up in every other thread where questions were brought up on how best to structure personal spending to meet a spend bonus.
Those kind of questions should be generally answered with either (a) anecdotal (even personal) experience (of regular spending) or (b) "why get a card when you don't need / can't justify it?"
In general, buying anything for consumption or where an arbitrage opportunity doesn't exist, should be legit (regular spending).
