2 point increase...

My EQ score went up 2 points just now.  It is for a SL account that has been inactive for some time.  I got this message as the change to the account.

Defaulted loan - claim filed against guarantor
Charge off account

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks,

Re: 2 point increase...

It means you haven't paid it and they finally wrote it off their books and sold it to a debt collector.  Prepare for the onslaught of phone calls and hits to your credit report for collection accounts.

But this account was transferred and I am now current on all my student loans.  I've been current for over 2 years.  Could it be something else.  I don't understand.
