Hey guys!
Just got really goods news today, my score jumped up 20 points. I was working ombudsman office, they are working on two loans for me -$3500 with 1 servicer AES/Xpress Loans reporting as "Student loan assigned to govt" and "120+ days past due" and 6,000 loan said same thing for 2 servicers- AES/Fed Loan Servicing and ACS/Dept of Ed. I called AES/Xpress Loans and even tried disputing but that didn't help so I contacted Ombudsman office for the $3500 loan, than later I called FedLoan Servicing (because AES didn't have my info on this loan even thought their name is on the report) and they told me they are not required to remove it because I rehabilitated the loan through a different servicer so I contacted Obdusman office and added this loan into the investigation this Monday, $3500 loan I sent last thursday. So FedLoan Servicing updated really fast, the lates are still there and it says "worst diliquency : 120+ days" but at least "Student loan assigned to govt" and "120+ days past due" status are gone and it reports as positive on my report. My score went from 606 to 626. My score last week was 622 but because I decided to dispute several things it dropped my credit score by 16pnts. Can't wait to see my score after the dispute is over and I just paid off my credit card so that should pump up the score too since it will show $0 balance, I recently got $100 credit limit increase after just 4 months of on time full payments with secure credit card
I want to get to 650, which will be possible if AES and ACS comply like FedLoan Servicing did, wish me luck! I also sent out 50 goodwill emails for those loans to executive board members and CEOs/VPs/Presidents/etc. I received emailed from ACS (who also goes by Xerox), the President of the compant forward the email to the director of operations edited, edited emailed me on behalf of edited, and he is working with their department on it. I will keep updating on how this goes!
Edited to remove others' names. - llecs, myFICO moderator
Ombudsman won't help removing lates, unless it was their fault and not yours, however you can try writing a goodwill letter and email it. I will PM you their contact email addresses
Yay Xpress Loans/AES my servicer for 3,500 loan finally updated my report to say "paid as agreed", "Student loan assigned to govt" and "120+ days past due" statuses are gone, the lady at Ombudsman really knows what she is doing, 2 down 1 more to go, almost there It's weird my score dropped 3 points, I guess multiple account changes can do that and all these accounts are in dispute so once dispute is done, it should improve by a lot
Greetings! Do you still have this contact info for the ombudsman? I am in a similar situation and could really use the info. Thank you in advance.

I AM IN THE SAME BOAT. IF I MIGHT ASK WHAT WAS YOUR REASON TO GET THE LATES REMOVED?
Can you also email me the AES contact emails to seek a goodwill for a late payment. Thanks!
