I have 2 student loans that are serviced by AES. These loans are thru Sun Trust Bank who took the loans when I went thru a rehab. I had defaulted in 2007 and finished rehab in 10/2007. AES is still showing the defaulted loans on credit reports and there is reference to them in a verification letter they send to potential mortgage lenders. Not sure I have to use this letter but shouldn't referrence to these defaulted loans be removed after 7 yrs?
