My son became ill last year and we had a difficut and expensive time. My husband and I fell behind in our student loans. We wrote to both companies mine was great lakes and I recieved a letter today saying they will do a remove the lates from my report as a good will. My husband has Nelnet and they said that the forbarance was applied to back dated late payments so they were late and will not remove. Anyone have any luck with a good will letter to them? His loan is currently in forbarance because he is taking classes right now.
