Hey everyone, I have my student loans with sallie Mae. Jan.2011 was a rough time for me so I put my loan in deferment. June.2011 I moved and had all my mail forwarded to my new address. Fast forward to jan.2012 I recieve notice that I am 120 days past due, huh? What? Why? I thought I was in deferment. I called immediately and made a payment and asked them why did I not recieve any other notices about the account being past due. The rep said they sent an email, why only a email? So I proceeded to ask them to remove the derog from my credit report and of course they say no. Is there anything I can do? My husband and I are trying to buy a home and this has really hit us hard. Any advice? Thanks
