Just this week I had a student loan in collections that was set to drop off my TU report in June of this year. Someone had suggested that I try to early expediate it off by contacting TU. Well, I thought it wouldn't hurt so tried it and they accepted to drop it off a few weeks early! Yay go me! Now today I relooked at my report and noticed that with DirectLoans I had some lates back in 2009. On my report it says that it is set to drop off by 3/2017-a little under 2 years away. These loans are shown as closed and transferred to another company. Am I able to try the early expediation thing with these loans even though they are in collection? I have heard about GWing them but I believe I tried once and it was denied. Any suggestions?
