Extra Loan Reporting

I have multiple loans serviced through Nelnet and as those of you familiar know I make one payment a month and it's distributed to each loan. I currently have 5 loans on my account classified by Nelnet as Group A, B, C, D, E.

However when I look at my credit report I see 6 Nelnet tradelines. One of them is for a balance that I do not have and for a date that doesn't show up on any of these Group loans.

Has anyone had this happen? What do I do? Dispute? Contact Nelnet?

I would definitely contact Nelnet.  If you add up the payments shown for each account on your credit report, does that equal the payment you make each month?  Do any of your loan groups contain two different types of loans (for instance unsubsidized vs. subsidized direct loans)?

Get your federal printout from the fafsa site. Make sure its not on your official loan transcript before calling.
