In 08/2011 I contacted Fed Loans regarding my student loans becuase i was told by my mother I had gotten mail at her home, when i contacted Fed Loans to start paying my student loans back I was informed that it had been sold to Nelnet. I never received any letter from either company letting me know it had been sold or it was time to start paying it back, I now have negative marks on my CR for both company's. I attempted a GW with Nelnet and they turned me down, is there any way of me getting this removed? Does the fact that i was not notified, did not get any bills etc in the mail help? I moved from Phoenix to Washington State and my letter was being sent to Phoenix.
Any advice would help.

My student loans with the Department of Education have transferred three times since September 2011 and I was not notified of any of them - I only knew because when I logged in to the account it said I had a zero balance then my credit report reflected closed accounts. Experian has not reported on my student loans since August 2011 except that it was closed in September - I have never received any mail or notifications. The Ombusdman was not able to help in this issue despite three tries. I just keep paying.
