Federal PLUS Loans

Has anyone received a PLUS loan after having a bankruptcy? The loans rely on credit worthiness but are treated the same as direct loans. I may need one for the 2012-2013 school year and I am recently discharged from bankruptcy. I hope that others have had success with their applications because I don't have a cosigner.

are you talking about getting a loan for yourself? i thought plus loans for only for parents to take out to pay for their kids' schooling.

I am a grad student and I would be able to get a PLUS Loan for myself if I qualified.

If anyone checks this and needs a little more information there is no appeal for a bankruptcy with a plus loan unless it is a chapter 13. I spoke with Direct Loans.
