Garnishment/Collection Charges Dropped?

So, I currently am having a couple of student loans garnished. I have added it up and currently have paid 1800 dollars in fees, 300 dollars in interest and 800 dollars to my actual original loans (total were around 3100, and are not down to 2216) Do I have any leg to stand on for a negotiation to take some of those collection charges and put them towards my actual loans? My income tax return is going to be taken, and thats around 775, plus another payment via garnishment in the 150 range bring me to 3800ish paid... would Navient/Sallie Mae go for something like this?

Well you can always wait to file your tax return so that won't get taken as long as you know that its going to be a refund. As for the fees... probably not. Are you doing a rehab program?
