Great Lakes or US Dept of Educ??

I am a bit confused....if I want to GW lates from Dec 2012 do I do that with the US Dept of Educ directly, or is Great Lakes their servicer and I go through them?  Also, is it typical for payments to post wrong to different loans?  I have one where it reads a $44 payment but that is for the other loan and vice versa...

Any help and contacts pm would be appreciated!  Thanks!!  This is what is appearing on my credit US Dept of Ed but I go to Great Lakes to monitor....

Re: Great Lakes or US Dept of Educ??

My Equifax report shows Dept of Educ/Sallie Mae for my DL loan serviced by Sallie Mae. Does not your Equifax report shows Dept of Educ/Great Lakes? If you answer is positive, then yes, you should contact Great Lakes regarding your loan.
