My BF had one 90-day and 120-day late from 9/12 and 10/12....the loan is currently being deferred. I sent a secure message through their website and within a week or so, they responded with the following e-mail message:
Thanks for inquiring about credit reporting.
We've looked over everything that we've reported on your account(s). We are pleased to say that although what we reported was correct, a decision has been made to remove this history from your credit files. We'll be instructing the credit reporting agencies to remove record of your late payments. This will be done electronically within the next five to ten business days.
We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Anyone have any experience with about how long it takes to have the trade lines updated??!! Is it really this simple? I have been GW for paid collections and charge offs and I am getting the cold shoulder EVERY time.
I just want to know if this is legit. lol Thanks in advance.

I just got one of my servicers to do an adjustment, and it took 5 days for it to show up on my 3 credit reports. YMMV.
Thanks for the response. I was figuring we must have been lucky or there was some kind of mistake. We will check his reports in a few weeks. I love this forum!!
