This system is not to beg for legitimate stuff to "just go away cause I just didnt feel like paying my loan". It is a way to keep a loan servicer honest, and sometimes be more lenient.
This is just some info to help others. I'm trying this avenue for several latest 5 years ago, that I thought they had covered in a deferment...
