Is it possible to get a closed student loan off my credit reports?

I see red flags on my report when I click on details it says the account was transferred . Description, closed. Can this be removed since it is now sallie mae, and if it can be removed would it further hurt or help my credit score?

Re: Is it possible to get a closed student loan off my credit reports?

Student loans are often sold to different servicers, and the process has no negative effect on your credit.  Where are you seeing this red flag?  Is there any negative information associated with the account, like a late payment?

Closed accounts in good standing stay on your report for 10 years, and generally they have a positive effect since they continue to factor in your average age of accounts.
